Description
Polyfoam® C-350 product is a solid insulation board (panel) made from extruded polystyrene with a closed cell structure. Products are delivered with the TG side edges (»tongue and groove« four times) and the TGL side edges (»tongue and groove« two times on longer side and normal square edge on shorter side). Main field application of the Polyfoam® C-350 TG and TGL products is thermal insulation of external walls of residential and commercial/industrial buildings in the multilayer walling constructions and the basement floor which is in contact with the ground..
Utilisation
External walls of the basement floor
Polyfoam® C-350 TG and TGL products are an ideal solution for realisation of thermal insulation of external walls below ground level. The interlocking »tongue and groove« system simplifies the installation and reduces the thermal bridges. These superior material properties enable the use of this product in contact with the ground. Products have not only excellent thermoinsulating properties and high stability, but also provide very good protection against damages.
External walls - the multilayer walling
Polyfoam® C-350 TG product is an ideal solution for realisation of multilayer walling constructions with the »tongue and groove« side edges providing quick and simple installation and minimizing the thermal bridges. Products provide a high level of moisture proofness. For the most part the material properties enable the application without the air hole and without creating an additional vapour check. Products have excellent thermoinsulating properties, high compressive strength and very low absorbability.
Installation – external walls of the basement floor
- On the vertical wall below ground level apply the adequate hydroinsulation material.
- The Polyfoam® C-350 TG and TGL boards install to the hydroinsulation material (upright), all connections (tongue and groove) must be free of leak, also finger tight only.
- To the bottom of the wall cheek lay the drainage pipes with the gravel-sand pack.
- Along the whole length of the cover prepare the drainage gravel-sand layer for perfect drainage of the insulation surface.
